> Answers to common questions about dazie, the voice-first AI journaling companion.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is dazie?">
    A voice-first journaling companion. You talk about your day, dazie asks follow-up questions, and the conversation becomes a journal entry with insights and follow-ups. See [What is dazie?](/).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How is voice journaling different from dictating notes?">
    Dictation records what you already planned to say. dazie runs a conversation: it asks questions, follows up, and remembers what you said last time, so you reflect instead of just recording.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I need to talk for a long time?">
    No. Five minutes is enough. Say "that's it for today" whenever you want to stop.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can dazie call me?">
    Scheduled phone check-ins are in early access. See [Scheduled calls](/guides/scheduled-calls).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does dazie remember previous conversations?">
    Yes. It remembers people, projects, goals and events you mention, and you can view or delete anything it stores. See [Memory](/guides/memory).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is dazie a replacement for therapy?">
    No. dazie is a reflection tool. It does not diagnose or treat anything. If you are in crisis, contact a local emergency number.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which languages does dazie support?">
    English works best today. German conversations work as well and improve over time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I export my journal?">
    Yes, as Markdown. See [Export and delete](/account/export-and-delete).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who is behind dazie?">
    dazie is an independent project. Reach us at [niklas@dazie.io](mailto:niklas@dazie.io).
