# Memory

> What dazie remembers between voice journaling conversations, how memory is used, and how to view or remove what it knows.

dazie is built to remember. It keeps track of the people, projects, goals and events you mention, so it can ask *"remember when you mentioned feeling stuck? Let's explore how you've grown since then."*

## What gets remembered

* People you talk about and your relationship to them
* Ongoing projects, goals and decisions
* Events coming up, such as a trip or an interview
* Preferences you state about how you like to journal

## How memory is used

At the start of a conversation dazie looks at what's relevant from memory and uses it to ask better questions. It won't bring up something you asked it to drop.

## Viewing and removing memories

Open **Settings → Memory** to see everything dazie has stored. You can delete any single memory, or clear memory entirely. Your journal entries are not affected.

You can also say it during a conversation: *"Forget what I said about that."*
