Your companion is the voice you talk to. You shape it with a short description in plain language.

Describe your companion

In Settings → Companion, write one or two sentences about how you want it to be. Examples:
  • “Supportive, curious, helps me explore creative projects.”
  • “Direct. Push back when I make excuses.”
  • “Calm and slow. I journal before bed.”
dazie uses this description to set tone, pacing and how hard it pushes on follow-up questions.

Name and voice

You can give your companion a name and choose from a small set of voices. Changing either doesn’t affect your journal or memory.

Focus areas

Optionally add focus areas, such as work, health, a creative project or a relationship. dazie will steer toward them when the conversation has no clear direction.

Changing your mind

Edits apply from your next conversation. Past entries stay as they were.
