Tell dazie about yourself
Onboarding asks a few short questions: what you’d like to get out of journaling, what’s going on in your life right now, and how you’d like to be addressed. Your answers give your companion context for the first conversation, so it doesn’t start from zero.
3
Shape your companion
Describe the companion you want in a sentence, for example “supportive, curious, helps me explore creative projects”. You can change this at any time. See Your companion.
4
Have your first conversation
Allow microphone access and start talking. dazie opens with a simple question such as “How was your day? Tell me what’s been on your mind lately.” Talk for as long as you like. Five minutes is plenty for a first try.
5
Read your entry
When you finish, dazie writes up the conversation as a journal entry, adds any insights it noticed, and lists follow-ups you mentioned. You’ll find everything in Your journal.
Tips for the first week
- Pick one moment of the day for journaling and keep it. Evenings work for most people.
- Don’t prepare. Say whatever is on your mind first; the follow-up questions do the rest.
- Read last night’s entry before today’s conversation. It’s a fast way to notice what changed.
